How to find us
NR is located on the upper floor (4. etasje) of Kristen Nygaards hus (One of the two buildings of the department of Informatics, the older building), Gaustadalleen 23a/b. Here is a map: or here .
The tram 17 and 18 from the centre stops in Gaustadalleen under the highway bridge (Ring 3). Walk south Gaustadalleen, 150 meters, until you see on your left a small staircase, that takes you to the entrance of the NR building. The entrance has two blue and white NR flags. Walk up on the upper floor to the reception and ask for your host.
Alternatively the tram 17 and 18 from the centre stops in Problemveien under the subway (T bane) bridge. Continue in Problemveien for 50 meters, until you pass the new Informatics building on your left, and you can walk between that building and the other one on the right. The next building on your right is Kristen Nygaards hus where we are. Lift to 4th floor.

To reach OCBE, you can take the convenient tram. Take the tram line 17 or Line 18, in direction Rikshospitalet, from the centre of Oslo, and get off at the last tram stop, Rikshospitalet. At this point the building you want to enter is that on your left. You enter the building Domus Medica, go up one floor and then follow the sign “Biostatistikk”. The door to the department is on your left. Take the tram 17 or 18 until the stop Blindern, and walk into the university campus (no cars) until on the left you see the tall building called Abels Hus. We are on the 7th floor. Seminars are usually on the ground floor, on the left when entering the building.

Many meetings are in room alfa omega on the forth floor of the building where NR is.
Some meetings are at Domus Medica: Room L-200 is on the second floor of the new wing of Domus Medica. Not easy to find. If you prefer, please meet at 8:45 at Biostatistics, and then we walk together. Biostatistics is number 46 in orange on the second floor in this map: https://www.med.uio.no/imb/om/dokumenter/dm-innvendig.pdf.
Transfer from the airport to hotels in the centre:
From the airport, take the airport train (flytoget). You pay the ticket with your credit card (keep receipts please). The train goes every ten minutes on working days, every 20 minutes on Saturday and Sunday. Get out at Oslo S, the Oslo main train station. This is either the first and only stop, or the second stop (the train then continues). Walk to the taxi stand, just outside the station. The taxi will take you to the hotel in just a few minutes. Please pay with your credit card and keep the receipt.
